Southwire's SER service entrance cable is mainly used to transmit power from the service drop to the meter base and then to the distribution panelboard. It can also be used in any application where Type SE cable is allowed. This cable can be used in both wet and dry locations, with a maximum temperature of 90°C. It has a voltage rating of 600 volts. According to NEC 338.12(A)(2), SE cables are not permitted underground, with or without a raceway.
